Terms and Conditions
BOOKING PAYMENTS - The invoice is split into two payments, the booking fee payment and the remaining balance payment.
BOOKING FEE PAYMENT: The non refundable booking fee payment is required to confirm a booking and secure your chosen date. The booking fee payment secures your booking and in addition covers costs such as, but not limited to, administration between Krystal and the client etc. A booking is only confirmed once the booking fee payment is received into Krystals nominated New Zealand Bank Account. Please note booking fee payments are non refundable or transferable at any time.
REMAINING BALANCE PAYMENT: The remaining balance payment must be paid on the due date in your Client Service Agreement. If the remaining balance payment is not made within 5 days, Krystal reserves the right to cancel the booking. Forward payments of the remaining balance are not accepted. Please note remaining balance payments are non refundable or transferable at any time.
Late bookings made within 4 weeks of the booking date require the invoice paid in full as a single payment to confirm a booking and secure your chosen date. Payment is non refundable or transferable at any time.
EXCLUSIVITY CLAUSE - The client grants Krystal the sole and exclusive right to provide all makeup services agreed to on wedding day, and/or an assistant/replacement she provides.
CHANGES WITHIN A BOOKING - Any cancelled services or changes to the work contracted in the CSA must still be paid for, unless Krystal choses to remove or refund, at her sole discretion. Krystal would have accepted the booking based on the number of services stated in the CSA. Requests to increase total numbers will all be accommodated where possible, but will be subject to availability.
ADDITIONAL FEES -
ASSISTANT FEE: If the booking is for more than 7 people, or time restricted - if a assistant is required. Krystal will supply a assistant which will incur a extra fee .
AFTER HOURS FEE: Bookings required after hours (before 7am/ after 6pm) will incur an ‘after hours’ fee.
ACCOMODATION FEE: Accommodation Fee for one night is $250.00 (+$50 if an assistant artist is also required) and shall not exceed this amount where possible. Accommodation for Krystal may be required for one night when travel for 2 hours or more one way is required, or if there is an exceptionally early start that could otherwise impact the standard of Krystals work. Krystal shall book any private accommodation required at her discretion. Full accomodation costs must be paid for as part of the initial booking fee.
PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE: Surcharge will apply to bookings on Public Holidays and during some holiday periods.
FLIGHTS: If flights are required Krystal shall book them at her discretion, at the clients expense. Flight pricing is subject to change at the airlines discretion. Krystal will provide an exact quoted price as per the airline as at the date. Krystal holds no responsibility to any increase in airfare costs etc, and such costs will be the clients expense. Full flight costs must be paid for as part of the initial booking fee.
TRAVEL SERVICE - The Travel fee is $1 per km
A minimum of 4 makeups is required for a booking to qualify for the travel service.
Travel fee is subject to change due to Road conditions and Fuel costs.
REQUIREMENTS WHEN KRYSTAL COMES TO YOU: Certain requirements are needed for Krystal to perform the services to her highest standard. A dining size table must be made available for Krystal to set up at. This must be clean, empty and adequate in size. Ample natural light is necessary for services to be performed properly (i.e. close to a big window and a well lit room). A working power socket must be available close to the work area. Business and contact details for any Wedding Photographers/Videographers there on the day must be made available to Krystal prior to booking date. Safe and secure parking within 15 metres must be available for Krystal to ensure she can easily unload her equipment. If there is no available parking at the location, the client must inform Krystal well in advance so that other arrangements can be made. If parking is not free, the cost of parking must be paid for by the client. Any damages to Krystals Professional Kit or Tools whilst at the clients booking location that are not caused by Krystal will be charged to the client in full and at Krystals discretion.
CANCELLATIONS - Any and all cancellations must be made in writing via email. A cancellation fee may apply, this is covered below. Krystal does not postpone any bookings, therefore a postponement of a booking is considered a cancellation.
CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 6 MONTHS: If the client cancels their booking within 6 months of the booking date, 50% of the invoice must still be paid for and will be charged immediately as a cancellation fee.
CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 8 WEEKS: If a client cancels their booking within 8 weeks of the booking date, 100% of the invoice must still be paid for and will be charged immediately as a cancellation fee.
Upon notice of cancellation, a final invoice will be emailed to the client. Full payment must be received within 5 days of the invoice date. Krystal reserves the right to take any legal action at any time for non payment.
ON THE DAY: If the client has not arrived, delays start time or is not ready to begin makeup session within 10 minutes after their designated appointment time, the booking may be deemed cancelled and the booking payment will be null and void entirely.
COVID-19 POLICY -
Level 1 and Level 2: Krystal is able to operate at Level 2 and Level 1, therefore bookings may proceed and will be expected to do so. Standard cancellation policy applies if the client no longer wishes to go ahead on their date.
Level 2.5, Level 3 or Level 4: Should a Nationwide or Auckland lockdown restriction be put in place that falls on your wedding date, preventing Krystal from performing her services, your booking will be transferrable to a new date up to 1 year out from your original date (subject to availability). Normal terms and conditions will apply to the new date. If the new date you wish to postpone to is not available, you will instead receive a credit for the full amount you have paid (this does not include the booking fee , a booking fee is non refundable ) to redeem towards a single new booking (credit cannot be split between multiple bookings). If you are not postponing and are cancelling your booking, then the standard cancellation policy will remain the same.
For weddings; If your new date you wish to postpone to is not available, you will instead receive a credit for the full amount you have paid, to redeem towards a single new booking (credit cannot be split between multiple bookings and excludes the cost of any services already performed e.g Bridal Trial). New season pricing may apply if you postpone to a date in a different season. If you postpone to a date more than 6 months away from your original date, Krystal reserves the right to deduct a reasonable service fee from the credit amount to cover the longterm administration costs. Note: It is imperative you check with all of your vendors before picking a new date to postpone to, in addition to offering multiple date options. Rescheduling a postponed wedding should be a collaboration between couples and vendors. If you are not postponing and are cancelling your booking, then the standard cancellation policy will remain the same.
NZ Border / quarantine restrictions: NZ Border and or quarantine restrictions of any kind are not accepted in any way as a valid postponement exception. A postponement will not be permitted should the client or family/friends/attendees not be able to enter NZ or make the quarantine time restrictions put in place by the Government. The only valid postponement exceptions are those listed in the Covid-19 Policy above.
CANCELLATION BY ARTIST - In the unlikely event that Krystal needs to withdraw from a booking, she reserves the right to do so at any time if she is unable to perform her duties for any reason, without explanation. Krystal will then endeavour to find a replacement, with a artist with a similar style and experience .Only if Krystal is unable to find a replacement she deems adequate, will the client receive a refund (minus services already performed - e.g Bridal Trial). The client agrees that 100% of monies paid refunded is the only liability to Krystal .Refunds will be made in full within within 30 days. Krystal will not be liable for any nonperformance due to unforeseen circumstances.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY - In the unlikely event of a total failure or cancellation of the booking by Krystal or in any other circumstances the liability of Krystal to the client shall be limited to the total value of the booking. Krystal will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss as a result of any form or postponement or cancellation to a booking.
HYGIENE / HEALTH LIABILITY - You are legally obliged to disclose to Krystal if you are sick, ill or contagious in any way at the time Krystal will be performing a makeup session on you, or if at anytime you have come into contact or been exposed to anyone who is / was / may be / might have been sick, ill or contagious in any way. Krystal reserves the right to make any final decision on whether a client is unsafe to perform a makeup session on. If the client discloses they are unwell at reasonable amount of time prior to the makeup session, a credit will be offered. If the client has not made an effort to inform Krystal minimum of 4 hours prior to the makeup start time, Krystal is not obliged to offer any credit. The only acceptable form of contact for this is email, call or text. Social media messages are not a acceptable form of contact.
FORCE MAJEURE - A Force Majeure Event can be defined as but is not limited to epidemics/pandemics, acts of god, and government restrictions. If a Force Majeure Event prevents Krystal from providing her services on the event date, Krystal, without limiting her other rights, provide a credit of any payments made (less services already performed) to be used on an alternative date within a 12 month period of initial event date. Standard terms and conditions apply once an alternative date is confirmed. New date is subject to availability.
GENERAL - By making a booking with Krystal the client engages in “Service” and agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Once you have engaged with Krystal it is assumed you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are non-negotiable. Prices and terms are subject to change. Krystal reserves the right to terminate your booking for any non-compliance of terms without resolution of dispute. All pricing is in NZD and GST is not applicable .
BRIDAL TRIALS-Due to the nature of this industry trials can only be held during the week days Monday -Thursday at my home in Auckland
